A slip and fall accident or also known as a premise liability case involves an injury accident that occurs in places such as supermarkets, restaurants, or other businesses and even private properties.  The injury may result from a slip or fall within those premises due to a defective or dangerous condition such as a wet floor without proper warning signs or a cracked sidewalk or stairway.

5 THINGS YOU SHOULD AFTER A SLIP & FALL INJURY ACCIDENT

• Stay calm no matter how slight the accident. If you feel dizzy or your head hurts call for medical help or 911. If you believe you have suffered serious injuries, call 911​.

• If you can do it safely, call the manager or an employee of the store or premise to assist you. Furthermore, report your incident to the manager or employee and request a copy of the report.  If they refuse to release a copy of the incident report due to their store policy, obtain their business card and names of all employees that assisted you​​​​​.

• Take pictures or videos.  Almost everyone has a camera on their cell phones these days. Use it. Take as many pictures as you can of the scene of the accident and anything related to it. Don't question what is relevant or not at the scene, just take as much photos or video as you can to record the event, especially of any visible injuries to your body.
